Inside Him

August 30th, 2007 by delrondu

Inside him he dies away slowly
Inside him he’s losing it all bit by bit
Inside him his life begins to fade
The day she decided she is walking away

-

Inside him there lies his fragile heart
Inside him his fragile heart bleeds
Inside him his blood flows quietly
Quietly flowing out from inside of him

-

Inside him the deep water is still
Stillness and calm before the storm
A storm to erupt like a dormant volcano
An anguish shrieking only of her name

-

Inside him time is a stand still
Torturous seconds with no end in sight
Inside him if you listen very closely
You can hear him softly flirting with insanity

-

Inside him he knows she’s gone
Inside him somehow that doesn’t make a difference
Inside him now lives an insatiable hole
A black hole vacuuming everything inside of him

-

Inside him this is it
This is all that’s inside of him

Dream

July 30th, 2007 by delrondu

A flicker of the eyes, a trigger in the mind.
A wondrous story begins to unwind.

A thrilling sensation, a powerful creation.
An alternative to this meaningless existence.

A subtle fantasy? A careful warning?
Or the incessant craving from a lonely beginning?

A beautiful place, of endless possibilities.
I dream of dreams of dreams that I dream.

Crow

June 26th, 2007 by delrondu

In a sea of a million faces, I blindly see only yours.
I belong in a home of desolation, I am to be called "wretched".
I dream of dreams, of dreams that are called nightmares.
To have a beating heart, is to have that aching need.

-

I am a crow, perched high up above.
Hungry from a desolating island.
Desperate for a hint of sanity.
Searching, screaming, always in silence.

-

The world below, like a desert storm.
Through these eyes, a worthless prey.
I long to fly higher, above all existence.
When I crash and burn, the maker shall know of my predicament.

I Love You

May 28th, 2007 by delrondu

Your head on my chest.
You softly hummed a tune.
As we laid on your sofa,
tenth night in a row.

-

Outside the night sky sings,
beautiful melody of silent serene.
Nothing else mattered,
as we laid there and breathed.

-

That current state of existence,
only lovers could have experienced.
I laid there with my heart opened.
For you everything I would dare and risk.

-

I looked at you,
I could only see your forehead,
The fragrance from your hair,
you have conquered my all.

-

I said, "Hey."
You didn’t budge.
"Hmm?" was your reply,
I repeated again.

-

You looked up and said, "Yes?"
Our eyes connected.
Those beautiful eyes,
I could stare till I die.

-

Beautiful face I don’t deserve,
yet your petal lips to me you reserved.

-

And with no force and no strain,
no other words could have replaced.
There it was, I laid bare.
"I love you."
I wasn’t afraid.

-

You turned back, cheek on my chest,
shied away a tear of joy.
Softly you whispered, I barely heard,
"You don’t know how happy that made me."
And gave me a tighter squeeze.

Iris

May 1st, 2007 by delrondu

"even when we are made to be broken
I still want you to know who I am"

-

standing here in the shadows
I’m peering through my sorrows
the girl who has conquered my whole
doesn’t seem to understand me at all

-

I watch her fly higher than I can
soaring through the autumn rain
she loves to watch the clouds go by
consciously slowly leaving me behind

-

sometimes I see her in the deadly darkness
I see her crying out her tears
but like all visions will come to pass
and all that’s left is my world collapsed

-

an iris across the darkened sky
majestic colours invisible in the night
no hearts will fall on my yearning lullaby
as loneliness swallows this forlorn sunrise

-

"even when we are made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am"

Take A Walk

March 27th, 2007 by delrondu
If I could leave this town, just for a while,
take a vacation from this existence.
If I could choose my next destination,
I would take a walk outside Heaven’s Gate.

If I could take a walk outside Heaven’s Gate,
I’d carefully decline the invite to enter.
A warm smile and my best behaviour,
I’ll see what the clouds have to offer.

If I could take a walk outside Heaven’s Gate,
I’d take my time to peer inside,
Familiar faces from a distant memory,
greet me with tales of your forgotten sins.

If I could take a walk outside Heaven’s Gate,
I’d learn the language that they speak.
Understand the journey to the other side,
and the purpose of my life and its beauty.

If I could take a walk outside Heaven’s Gate,
I would come back a different man.
A man who have seen what he shouldn’t have,
but sure of what he can make his life to be.

If I could take a walk outside Heaven’s Gate,
I would thank the Lords for their teaching me.
And if I could take a walk outside this city,
I’d be sure to invite you along with me.

Your Beautiful Bloom, My Dying Lily

February 26th, 2007 by delrondu

Your white petals

Her porcelain skin

Your beautiful bloom

Her sincere beauty

Your gentle touch

Her tender lips

Your torturous gaze

Her suffocating memories

My broken heart

Your evil stare

My restless mind

Your only place

My lethargic mornings

Your glorious hour

My everything

Your every whim

Her long gone perfume

My craving taste

Your disappeared scent

Her warm embrace

My trembling arms

Your crooked stem

Her perfect life

My dying lily

Your decayed form

My only wish

Your beautiful bloom

Her coming home

My Flight

January 19th, 2007 by delrondu

A heavy heart, a trembling fear,
shaking fingers of a careful mind.
Tired eyes, a more tired soul,
lost in a world whored by remembrances.

-

My conception’s gone, my rambling thoughts,
waiting for the next second to clear.
Tomorrow’s woes, today is here,
I could sit and rot to my core.

-

The night is young, before all - calm,
takes me to my inner demons.
A struggle succumbed, the end seemed nigh,
wishing I could resurrect my youth.

-

Take me now, take me away,
take me into your arms of light.
Cry for my repentance, cry for my naivety,
cry for all of my sorrows tonight.

-

Solitude is my calling, I can handle with ease,
a mission I inevitably choose to proceed.
My flight, my journey, my story, my song,
to the ends of the world, I have to follow through.

Fading Pictures

December 29th, 2006 by delrondu

memories of a careful mind
fragile in the subconscious
subtle warnings all around
deep concentration of a focus

-

tighten my grip to nothingness
sharing life with a bouncing echo
holding on to an alternate existence
a familiarity i long to call home

-

my foolish heart has rendered useless
every dawn a lethargic hue
an empty shell of timeless space
my loneliness a pathetic muse

-

dark clouds above fondly gather
wetness slowly dissolving the imprint
inevitably everything disappears
nothing allowed to be kept within

-

the moon in a sky of darkened blue
quiet reflections of another rhyme
all that’s left of me and you
are these fading pictures in my mind
