My Flight
A heavy heart, a trembling fear,
shaking fingers of a careful mind.
Tired eyes, a more tired soul,
lost in a world whored by remembrances.
-
My conception’s gone, my rambling thoughts,
waiting for the next second to clear.
Tomorrow’s woes, today is here,
I could sit and rot to my core.
-
The night is young, before all - calm,
takes me to my inner demons.
A struggle succumbed, the end seemed nigh,
wishing I could resurrect my youth.
-
Take me now, take me away,
take me into your arms of light.
Cry for my repentance, cry for my naivety,
cry for all of my sorrows tonight.
-
Solitude is my calling, I can handle with ease,
a mission I inevitably choose to proceed.
My flight, my journey, my story, my song,
to the ends of the world, I have to follow through.
